Residents of Japan must have a Specialist in Humanities/International Services visa or another status of residence that allows them to work in translation.
■Job Description
・Proofreading and editing JPN to ENG product translations (audio and anime subtitles/games/manga, etc.)
・Providing feedback for translators and consulting with them regarding projects
・Product, website and miscellaneous translations (may be requested as required)
■Requirements
・Applicants are welcomed regardless of gender, nationality or educational background.
・You need to be 18 years or older and legally classified as an adult in the country where you'll be working, due to the subject matter you will be dealing with.
・You must be a native-level English speaker. We need you to be able to tell when a translation sounds unnatural in English.
・Applicants should be fluent Japanese speakers familiar with Japanese subcultures and have experience with Japanese games, anime, manga, etc.
*Monthly earnings will depend on the scale of available projects, as well the speed of proofreading.

応相談Pay starts at 1.5 yen per Japanese character in the source text prior to translation (may change depending on experience).
■Required skills/experience:
・English: Native proficiency with strong writing and proofreading skills
・Japanese: fluent (JLPT N1 or equivalent preferred)
・You must hold a working visa if residing in Japan
■Desired Skills/Experience:
・Creative translation experience (paid or volunteer) with manga or games (Scanslators included)
・Detailed knowledge of doujin and other otaku culture
・MS Office, touch typing, and dictionary/thesaurus experience (Sorry, don't mail us your hand-written scribblings!)
・Experience with translation CAT tools
・Photoshop or photo editing skills
